We are not the official venue operator unless explicitly stated.

Prices may be higher than the official venue price because they can include booking and service fees.

Availability is not guaranteed until your booking voucher has been issued by email.

How does the booking process work?

  • Select a tour or museum ticket, fill in the booking request form and click “Send Booking Request”. Within 2 hours you will receive an email confirming availability and payment instructions. Your booking is only confirmed once payment is completed and a Booking Confirmation Voucher has been issued.

Are you the official operator of the museums?

  • No. Amsterdam Museum Tours is an independent booking intermediary. We are not the official operator of any museum or venue unless explicitly stated. Prices may be higher than the official venue price as they include a booking and service fee, tax, and card processing fee.

When and how will I receive my ticket?

  • Once payment is confirmed, your Booking Confirmation Voucher will be sent to the email address provided. Please present this voucher to your guide or at the venue entrance — either printed or on your smartphone screen.

Are tours available every day?

  • Most tours run daily, however specific dates and availability vary. Availability is not guaranteed until your voucher has been issued.

What languages are tours conducted in?

  • All tours are conducted in English. On request, guides may be available in Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Turkish, Italian, Chinese, and Arabic — please enquire at the time of booking.

Meeting Your Guide:

Where and how do I meet my guide?

  • The exact meeting point is stated in your Booking Confirmation Voucher. Transportation to the meeting point is not included — you are responsible for arriving there independently.

What happens if I arrive late?

  • Please arrive on time. If you do not appear at the meeting point within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, this is treated as a no-show and no refund will be issued.

What is included in the tour price?

  • Included: professional guide with live commentary, entrance tickets or canal cruise as specified in the individual tour description, service fee, and taxes. Not included: transport to the meeting point, food and drinks, and personal expenses.

Cancellations & Refunds:

Can I cancel my booking?

  • Yes, provided the tour has not yet started. The refund amount depends on how far in advance your written cancellation request is received:

3–7 days 50% of the tour price
Less than 3 days No refund
No-show on the day No refund

The service fee is non-refundable in all cases.

How do I submit a cancellation request?

  • Send an email to [email protected] including your booking reference number, full name, tour date, and reason for cancellation. We do not accept verbal cancellations by phone. We will confirm receipt of your request within 1 business day.

Can I change my booking to a different date?

  • Yes, if the request is made more than 48 hours before the tour — a date change is possible subject to availability, with a €5 administration fee. Requests received less than 48 hours before the tour are treated as a cancellation under the refund schedule above.

What happens if Amsterdam Museum Tours cancels a tour?

  • In the event of cancellation on our side — due to insufficient group size, severe weather, force majeure, guide illness, or venue closure — you will be offered either a full refund of the total amount paid including the service fee, or a free reschedule to a date of your choice subject to availability.
